Description
Pasta alla Norma is a pasta dish in Sicilian cuisine created originally in Catania, Sicily, Italy. It is made with tomatoes, fried or sauteed aubergine (eggplant), grated ricotta salata cheese, and basil. It is supposedly named after the opera Norma by the Catania-born composer Vincenzo Bellini.
